GlobeCore’s Invitation to IEEE PES T&D 2020

GlobeCore would like to invite all our partners to attend IEEE PES Transmission and Distribution Conference and Exposition (T&D 2020), to be held on 20-23 April in Chicago.

IEEE PES T&D is one of the most prominent forums in the energy industry.  This year, IEEE PES T&D expects over 14000 visitors to discuss industry trends and future. This number includes GlobeCore representatives, who will present the finer points of transformer maintenance, correct handling of electrical insulation oils and quick change of oil in wind turbine gearboxes.

You can find us next to booth 3461. There you will also have an opportunity to learn about the small and portable CMM-0.6 transformer oil processing unit.

See you at IEEE PES T&D 2020!

GlobeCore extends invitation to the International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition-2019

GlobeCore invites all businesses and parties interested in the implementation of innovative technologies to the International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition.

This event is biannual, and this year will be hosted by Kentucky Exposition Center, Louisville, Kentucky on 1-3 October. The exhibition focuses, among other things, on electric power transmission and distribution, wastewater treatment, natural gas supply etc.

GlobeCore will be represented in the first two categories by the CMM-G designed to change oil in wind turbine gearboxes and the AVS vortex layer device. You can see these machines and speak with our specialists at booth 2240.

The CMM-G simplifies and accelerates oil change in wind turbines. To protect the new oil from instantly becoming contaminated with impurities left in the gearbox after draining the oil oil, the machine also washes the gearbox with special flushing oil. As for the vortex layer device, it increases the efficiency of the existing wastewater purification systems, reducing process duration and chemical consumption.

Looking forward to meeting you at International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition-2019!

GlobeCore Invitation to Transformador LatAm 360

Transformador LatAm 360 symposium, dedicated to transformer lifecycle, will be held in Panama on 10-13 September this year.

The four day event will include presentations from the leading companies in the industry of transformer servicing and lifetime extension: SDMyers, Megger, Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen, Omicron, GlobeCore, Qualitrol and Transformer Clinic. The presented information will help improve transformer and other high voltage equipment maintenance procedures in your facility.

GlobeCore will be presented at the symposium by Jose Mora, the Latin America Service Manager. The report will focus on the problem of corrosive sulfur in transformer oil. The presence of corrosive sulfur is a direct danger to the transformer. Active sulfur promotes oil aging and the formation of colloids; it can accelerate formation of deposit films and overheating of switch contacts; sulfur has a negative effect on rubber seals; copper sulfide is a conductor which may form on the windings and damage insulation. After the report, you will learn how to prevent these processes and extend the lifetime of your transformers.

For more information on participating in the symposium, send an email to [email protected].

GlobeCore to Hold a Seminar in Angola

GlobeCore continues with the policy of holding seminars on electrical insulation oil treatment and transformer lifetime extension around the world.

The next seminar is planned for the 27 June in Luanda (Angola). We invite all representatives from the electric power industry in Africa and elsewhere to visit the event. The seminar will provide up to date information on modern approaches to transformer servicing as well as fuel blending. The visitors will be able to speak with professionals in the field of electrical insulation oil purification and regeneration and to see the regeneration process in a UVR regeneration technology demonstrator.

Event: A seminar on electrical insulation oil treatment, transformer lifetime extension and fuel blending.

Location: Hotel Skyna Luanda, Noº29, Av. de Portugal, Luanda, Angola

Time: 27 June 2019

Start: 10:00.

We will be happy to see you among the participants. For more information, contact us at [email protected] or [email protected].

GlobeCore Extends Invitation to Visit AWEA WindPower-2019 in Houston

GlobeCore would like to invite everyone involved in the alternative energy market to visit one of the main events in industry: AWEA WindPower-2019, which will be held 20-23 May 2019 in Houston, USA.

The conference will focus on important issues and topics of interest in the wind power generation industry.

At the event, GlobeCore can be found at booth 4337, where the company will present new technology of GearBox oil changing CMM-G and Turbine oil processing unit CMM-0.6.

Commissioning of GlobeCore Equipment in Bangladesh

GlobeCore equipment was commissioned in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in the first quarter of this year.

One of the local electric power companies purchased a CMM-4 and a CMM-6 units to service their power transformers. This type of equipment is well suited for such tasks as:

1) removal of particulate matter, water and gas from transformer oil;

2) heating of transformer oil;

3) transformer evacuation.

The СММ-4 (СММ-6) unit performs a comprehensive oil treatment process, filtering the oil and subjecting it to heat and vacuum.

If equipped with the TSS system, the oil can be processed without draining from the transformer tank. After passing through the СММ-4 (СММ-6) the purity of the oil is equivalent or better than -/14/12 according to ISO 4406 standard (gas content below 0.1% and moisture content by mass below 5 ppm).

For more information or to place an order, please refer to the Contacts section of the website.

The New CMM-1CF for Purification of Oil with Very High Water Content

GlobeCore has successfully completed the final trials of the CMM-1CF unit with the processing rate of 1 m3/hour in May.

The primary mission of this product is not only filtration, but also removal of water from industrial oil. The unit can process oil with water content of 50% and more. The CMM-1CF can process diesel fuel, kerosene, petroleum, heating oil and other petrochemical products with high water contamination.

The unit is based on a fairly simple principle of coagulation. Oil passes through a special filter, where molecules of water form droplets and flow on the surface of the filter into a settling vessel, from which the water can be drained through a valve. To extend the life of the pump and the main coalescing filter, the unit is equipped with a cartridge filter (with the possible filtration rating of 1, 3, 5 or 25 μm).

The СММ-1CF has the following advantages:

  • low power consumption;
  • mobility;
  • compact size;
  • simple operation and servicing;
  • no heating or chemical influence on the processed oil.

Ongoing Cooperation With Electric Power Industry of Malaysia

Only recently (in January), GlobeCore presented and commissioned equipment in Malaysia.

Several weeks later, new products were commissioned. Seven CMM-4/7 units began operation in several Malaysian cities on 19 March – 8 April. This product enjoys high demand due to its versatility. The СММ-4/7 are instrumental in several operations important for transformer installation, repairs and servicing of power transformers. These include purification of transformer oil to remove particulate matter, water and gas, vacuum drying of transformers and transformer evacuation, heating of oil before filling the transformer and heating electrical equipment with hot oil.

The newly commissioned units can be connected directly to the transformer thanks to the TSS (Transformer Safety System), which makes it possible to remove air from hoses and warm up before operation, and also disconnects the unit from the transformer automatically if an emergency condition is detected.

Modern Electric Energy Industry Solutions Presented in Oldenburg

On 12-13 March 2018, GlobeCore hold a presentation of the modern solutions for the electric energy industry (oil processing, transformer and wind turbine servicing) in Oldenburg in cooperation with Maschinenfabrick Reinhausen and Seifert Transformatorentechnik.

The presentation was attended by representatives of 14 companies from 6 countries (Germany, USA, Great Britain, Italy, UAE and Nigeria). GlobeCore presented information on our equipment for electrical insulation oil purification and regeneration, transformer servicing and wind turbine gearbox oil change. The latter generated much interest from the representative of the alternative energy sector, which were also present at the event.

GlobeCore thanks all the participants for their interest and extends an invitation to all to take part in similar future events.
